At TCI Red Cross we teach First Aid and life-saving skills to the community and to employees in both the public and private sector.  Our courses provide hands-on training and education, while encouraging and promoting improvement in safety and health in both the home and the workplace.

The courses we offer are:

Essential First Aid - $75/person - 7 hours

This is our most popular course, where you will learn first aid responses to the most common accidents and situations.  The course covers: caring for an unconscious casualty – breathing and not breathing; performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR); and treating major and minor injuries.

Advanced First Aid - $150/person - 2 days

Is a course tailored to those looking for a hands-on course that provides practical training which will enable you to respond to common first aid situations.  This course covers: responding to the needs of conscious and unconscious casualties; responding to casualties with major injuries and those with common illnesses and conditions; and Adult and Infant cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

AED Certification - $50/person - 2 hours

Learn the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) in cardiac emergencies.  Candidates must have successfully completed the Essential First Aid course in order to be eligible for this course.

Introduction to First Aid - Free - 2 hours

This is our shortest course, where you will learn adult life-saving skills in as little as two hours.  The course includes: caring for an unconscious casualty – breathing and not breathing; as well as choking.

Basic Life Saving - $50/person - 4 hours

Is a practical course in key life-saving skills from choking to major injuries.  The course content includes: caring for an unconscious casualty – breathing and not breathing; as well as choking; severe blood loss and shock.
