Following the tragic earthquake in Morocco on Friday 8 September 2023 the worldwide British Red Cross have launched an emergency appeal. Gibraltar Red Cross condolences and sympathies go out to the families of those lost and to the many injured directly or indirectly, and to all those in our local Moroccan community. We will set out shortly the Gibraltar society’s own response and how we can help our Moroccan friends in the longer term.

In the meantime, donations can be made for the Moroccan tragedy at the Convent (via rear entrance from 10.00 -13.00 on Monday to Friday); by cheque and posted to Gibraltar Red Cross, c/oThe Convent, Main Street, Gibraltar; or via a bank transfer to:

Our equipment loan service, is here for anyone resident in Gibraltar- whatever your needs please call 20074452 to see if we can help- whether it be bed aids, toilet aids, or any mobility equipment, if we have it in stock you can borrow it. We do not charge hire fee’s however we do rely on donations to fund our work locally, so anyone who would like to contribute to that is of course very welcome to do so.
